Investigating SMART SOLUTIONS at Saxion University

It’s all about finding smart solutions!


In this interdisciplinary project, a natural textile dye was developed on the basis of genepin, the Jagua fruit’s natural blue pigment.

Together with the Dutch Company Jagua Henna, our team of chemistry, economics, and textile technology students researched, tested, and analysed the potential of genepin as an industrial-scale alternative to synthetic blue colorants.
